Facial Cupping Contraindications
Before you get started with facial cupping, please read the following facial cupping contraindications:
In case you have a medical condition or illness, we recommend consulting your doctor before practicing facial cupping.
Please keep in mind that cupping should only be applied on healthy skin. Avoid areas with lesions, inflammation as well as moles and warts.
Do not apply the cups on the area of the thyroid gland. Do not apply the cups directly on areas with redness (couperose, rosacea) and/or fragile capillaries. However, applying the cupping technique around the affected areas (as opposed to on the affected area) can help to reduce the pressure on the capillaries. If the face has many visible capillaries, we do not recommend cupping on the face, but to focus on the neck, décolleté and shoulders.
