CERTIFICATIONS

Organic certificates are a good indicator for food, but when it comes to cosmetics most of them are issued by private, profit-oriented companies.

Therefore these certificates provide very limited information about the quality of ingredients and if most of them tolerate chemical modifications of the ingredients such as hydrogenation.

BIO CPAEN

The governmental control organisation CPAEN of the province of Navarra, where our laboratory is based, certifies food and cosmetics. Additionally to the strict controls and guidelines, they also visit the laboratory unannounced to take samples of all raw materials for analysis. No other organic certificate today is executing such strict controls.

CRUELTY FREE AND VEGAN

We do not use any ingredients derived from animals, therefore all our products are vegan.

In the EU it is prohibited to test finished cosmetic products and cosmetic ingredients on animals. We also refrain from using ingredients that have been tested on animals in other countries where it is still allowed. All our products are therefore also cruelty free.

LE PURE products are not sold in physical stores in China, where animal testing is still obligatory.

NO GREEN CHEMISTRY

It is common, even in certified organic skincare, to use ingredients that have been chemically modified. They are sometimes referred to “green chemistry”. Hydrogenated fats and trans fats are an example of such chemical modifications.

In nutrition we know that the consumption of these fats (vegetable shortening, margarine, etc.) is linked to inflammation and heart disease. When applied on the skin, these fats stay on the skin surface, as the skin can not recognise and absorb them.

RAW

We primarily use first transformation plant substances. This means that we avoid multiple modification of the original plant through chemical processes and synthetic substances, which reduces the total amount of beneficial nutrients.

All our production methods are gentle and do not require heating above 38°C . Therefore all our products are RAW, which means they preserve the maximum of active plant nutrients for the skin.
