WHAT IS NORMAL SKIN?
Skin can be classified according to a variety of factors that are related to the skin’s balance: hydration, secretion of the sebaceous glands and the level of sensitivity. They type of skin is usually determined by genetics, but it is affected by our lifestyle and can change with time.
When we talk about normal skin, we refer to skin that is neither too dry nor too oily. Normal skin has a regular texture, a smooth appearance and no imperfections. The T-zone (forehead, nose and chin) can be a bit oily, but overall the the sebum secretion is well balanced. The scientific term for normal, well-balanced skin is eudermic skin.
Normal skin needs a balanced combination of skin nutrients according to the person’s age, lifestyle and the climate.
